Painting with water colours is extremely suitable, if you want to start directly in the open air.

All you need is a colour-box, a brush, a chair, an easel, a pencil, a sketch pad and a sun-hat. And don't forget some water; (... and Autan, otherwise after 10 minutes the idyll will be over.)

The sun hat is missing in the picture above. And instead of Autan this day a flea-collar would have been more useful, because of the small roving cat on my legs. Directly after the photo had been taken, I tried to comb the cat's skin in the opposite direction for fun, and hundreds of angry fleas' eyes stared at me. No wonder that the pussy-cat became so affectionate when I scratched it.
